Oooohh, I like him... "He argued that the Six Classics, the Analects, and the Mencius were largely eulogies composed by court historians or fragmentary notes kept by muddled disciples who recorded partial recollections without context."

thanks for this piece, I was ignorant about him. As a slight footnote, we simply ‘quit’ an occupation, quitted is archaic.
